Hi, I’m Shelbi, lead stylist at On Stage Hair Studio. I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for eight years. I specialize in blonding, creative color, razor cutting and am an extension expert. I am currently working on building my beauty page “The Mad Stylist” on Facebook and Instagram.
I started my career in a franchise salon and almost gave up doing hair, then I found On Stage Hair Studio. All odds were stacked against me when I started here….brand new to the area with no local clientele and I lived an hour away. Shortly after I started I had a lot of medical conditions pop up. I didn’t tell anyone. I just worked harder to prove that I could do it. In a little over a year I made lead stylist but shortly after I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. My career had just taken off and things were going great, then I was hit with that. I was scared of losing my job but my salon family was more than supportive and accommodating. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else - this company has been completely amazing! I have the best and most talented team I could ever hope for, this truly is a family.
Everyone here will go above and beyond for each other for our clients or for other stylists. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else, I can truly say “I started from the bottom and now I’m here”. It hasn’t been easy, but it has definitely pushed me to new heights in my career that I had only dreamed about prior. I’m able to take better care of my family and give them the life they deserve. I can’t wait to come to work every morning and see what the day brings, new challenges, new clients, new transformations, the clients faces when they feel as beautiful as they are is the most rewarding thing to me in this industry. Being a stylist at On Stage Hair Studio isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle and it has pushed me to be the best stylist I can be and I’m still growing every day.
